NY System Hot Weiners

The New York System Hot Weiners restaurant was established in 1927. The restaurant was popular back in the 1920s because it offered cheap food that would fill people up: hot dogs and donuts. It is currently owned by the Papas family, who are third generation owners. They have not changed their hot weiner recipe since the day they opened.

There are two other New York Systems in Providence alone. One is in Olneyville and the other is on Cranston Street. These two were sold by the Papas family. The Olneyville restaurant was featured on the Food Network show, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, and the Travel Channel's Man v. Food.
